Indiana State Police and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 Saturday morning.

ISP said their preliminary investigation revealed that a 2003 GMC Yukon was heading northbound on I-65 when it sideswiped a 2020 Isuzu truck. Both vehicles drove off the east side of the road and the GMC rolled over, ejecting the driver, police said. ISP said the Isuzu stayed upright and ended up stopping in a ditch.

The driver of the GMC was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office, police said. The driver’s name is being withheld, pending notification of family, and will be released at a later time.

The driver of the Isuzu wasn’t injured.

Before the crash, ISP said dispatch received a call about the GMC “driving recklessly.”

This crash remains under investigation.
