After weeks of winter’s grip, southern Ontario is in for a spring-like stretch as temperatures move into the double digits with plenty of sunshine in the forecast.

As of Sunday (March 9) residents will wake up to a mix of sun and clouds with a 40 per cent chance of flurries. Strong winds reaching up to 50 km/h will also add a brisk chill to the morning air.

Daytime highs are anticipated to reach 4 C, though the wind chill may make it feel closer to -10 C in the morning.

By evening, skies will turn cloudy, bringing a 30 per cent chance of rain. Winds will shift to the southwest at 30 km/h, gusting up to 50 km/h. Overnight, temperatures will fall to 2 C, with some areas dipping as low as 0 C.
