Environment Canada has issued multiple weather alerts for Toronto and parts of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) as challenging weather conditions are expected.

Environment Canada has issued two important weather alerts: a Rainfall Warning and a Fog Warning.

Rainfall WarningSignificant rainfall is forecast across Toronto and the GTA on Sunday, with amounts ranging between 20 to 44 millimetres in areas such as Mississauga, Brampton, Guelph, Oakville, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, Vaughan, Niagara Falls, Oshawa, Markham, Richmond Hill, and beyond.

Rain is expected to begin Sunday morning, with heavy downpours at times. Conditions will improve later in the evening as the rain transitions to isolated showers. Roads are expected to be wet and slippery, posing potential hazards for drivers.

Environment Canada is urging caution near rivers, creeks, and culverts, as washouts are possible. Parents and pet owners should ensure children and pets remain well away from water bodies and riverbanks.
