25 cm of snow and 80 km/h winds coming to parts of Ontario this week [Video]

It seems that every time spring starts to settle in, winter barges back in uninvited. This week, a burst of Arctic air will bring frigid temperatures, gusty winds and another round of snow across parts of Ontario.

According to The Weather Network, a compact low-pressure system is expected to sweep across the province on Monday. It will ride along a sharp temperature boundary and deliver bursts of snow and strong winds across central and eastern regions.

Most of southern Ontario—including Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham will avoid the heaviest snowfall. However, winds of 40 to 70 km/h may cause travel delays, blowing snow and reduced visibility. Areas near Georgian Bay and Lake Huron could see light snow accumulations of 2 to 5 cm.

Farther north, from Sault Ste. Marie through Sudbury and into Quebec, snowfall totals could reach 15 to 25 cm by Tuesday. Travel along Highway 11 and …
