A 28-year-old man is dead after a three-vehicle crash in Ontario early Friday.

Ontario Provincial Police said it happened on Wellington Road 51 near Ariss, which is in the Guelph area.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at around 6:45 a.m.

The crash involved two pickups and a sedan, police said.

One of the drivers, a 28-year-old man from Waterloo, died at the scene.

Police said no one else was injured.

There is no word on what may have caused the crash and an investigation is ongoing.

“As it’s still very early in the investigation,  it hasn’t been determined if any charges will be laid,” an OPP spokesperson said.

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Anyone with information or video footage was asked to come forward.
