A 29-year-old motorcyclist is dead and two other people were injured after a crash in eastern Ontario, police say.

Ontario Provincial Police said that shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the scene at County Road 22 and Brouseville Road in Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township, which is between Kingston and Cornwall.

The collision involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene.

The driver and passenger who were in the other vehicle had minor injuries and were taken to hospital, police said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
