London Morning’s associate producer Ryan Soulliere listens to a lot of music for his role picking tunes for the show. In any given week, that’s about 25 songs. Here are his top three local and Canadian picks from last week.

Shawnee Kish – Reclaim

Since the start of her music career Shawnee Kish has made great strides, winning CBC Music’s Searchlight competition in 2020 and picking up a Juno award nomination in 2021 for her self titled debut EP. Her recent EP Brother is a great example of why this powerhouse vocalist is such a fan favourite. Reclaim is the last song on that EP and it’s a great showcase for Kish’s ability to draw you in with her warm and smooth vocals. Reclaim is a slow and soulful song that works well for an early-morning playlist or when it’s time to unwind.
