4 injured in Ontario crash, vehicles sustain ‘significant’ damage [Video]

A two-vehicle crash left four people injured, two of them seriously, in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Tuesday, police say.

Niagara Regional Police said it happened at the intersection of Four Mile Creek Road and Line 7 Road at around 5:46 p.m.

A white 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck and a black 2020 Toyota Corolla collided in the intersection, police said.

A 49-year-old woman from Niagara Falls who was driving the Toyota, along with one of her passengers, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, officers said.

Two other people who were in the Toyota were taken to hospitals out of Niagara Region for treatment of serious injuries, one of whom was flown by Ornge air ambulance.

The driver of the pickup, a 51-year-old woman from Niagara-on-the-Lake, wasn’t injured, police said.

“Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene,” police said.
