Another person has died following a multi-vehicle collision in southwestern Ontario that killed four others on Friday.
The OPP said in a recent news release that the victims were four teenage girls, aged 16 and 17 and a 33-year-old man who were all travelling in the same SUV. Investigators have not said who was driving the vehicle.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Thorndale Road and Cobble Hills Road, northeast of London, Ontario.
Police say the SUV collided with a transport truck before crashing into a second SUV. Four people in the first SUV were pronounced dead at the scene. A fifth occupant — a 16-year-old girl — was airlifted to a hospital but has since died, OPP confirmed Saturday.
The driver and passenger of the second SUV, along with the driver of the transport truck, sustained minor injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
