50-year-old e-bike rider dead after collision with car in Oshawa, Ontario [Video]

A man is dead after his e-bike collided with a Buick Encore in north Oshawa Sunday afternoon.

Durham Police said a 50-year-old man was southbound on Harmony Road at 12:30 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a northbound Buick, which was making a left-hand turn.

The e-bike rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital in Oshawa, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Buick was not injured and cooperated with police.

The Durham Police Collision Investigation Unit was on the scene to investigate and Harmony Road between Corbetts Road and Beatrice Street was closed in both directions for most of the afternoon.
