A two-day commercial truck blitz conducted in Uxbridge and Port Perry this week took 23 vehicles off the road – nearly 80 per cent of the trucks inspected.
Durham Police worked with the OPP and transportation ministry officials on the crackdown in north Durham Region Wednesday and Thursday.
Twenty-nine vehicles were inspected, 23 taken off the road and 78 tickets were issued.
