New performance bridges language and identity [Video]

Jade Circle, a new show opening on Wednesday at Richmond’s Gateway Theatre, looks at the link between identity and language through the lens of family connections. The performance weaves between English and Mandarin with English subtitles. As Caroline Chan found out, the idea is to spark conversations on things that can go unsaid between family members.
