Ottawa moves to strip military of power to investigate sexual offences | Power & Politics

The federal government has introduced legislation to remove the military’s jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute sexual offences committed in Canada. If the amendments pass, these offences will be tried in the civilian justice system. Defence Minister Bill Blair discusses why it took nearly two years for this legislation.
