BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Strong low pressure over the Great Lakes Region this morning will move into Western Quebec by evening. This will usher lots of moisture into the region resulting in a heavier rainfall than we’ve seen the past couple of days for much of the state. Rain will spread across the state during the early to mid-morning and could be heavy at times through mid-afternoon before tapering to scattered showers later in the afternoon and evening. The pressure gradient across the area will tighten up as well resulting in a strong, gusty south/southeast winds could gust to 40-50 MPH at times for much of the state… some gusts to 55 MPH will be possible near and along the coast. Warmer air will move into the state today too with highs climbing to the low to mid-50s. Overall rainfall totals from today through later this evening will average .50″-1.50″ …
