‘Dream becomes reality’ for this London, Ont., mom of 2 competing in the world CrossFit games [Video]

Lacey Truelove has been an athlete all her life. And when she retired from gymnastics and diving in 2013, she wasn’t ready to give up sports. So she went looking for something new. Then she found CrossFit.

Just over a decade later, the London, Ont., mom of two is among the top 40 athletes worldwide scheduled to compete at the Masters CrossFit Games in Alabama next month.

“I’m really excited to stand on the stage and recognize that it was the dream of a little girl which has now become a reality,” said Truelove, 35, who added she is the first in her age category to represent London on the international Crossfit stage.
