A 25-year-old Hamilton man who mistakenly shot his girlfriend in the head, killing her, while playing with a gun during a small drug- and alcohol-fuelled gathering at his house has been sentenced to five years.
After credit for time spent in jail before sentencing, Devante Skye-Davis has 23 months left on his jail sentence, followed by three years probation.
