A week of wildfire in BC: helicopter water bombers, evacuations and shuttered highways [Video]

Fire crews continue to battle the the Shetland Creek and Williams Lake wildfires in British Columbia’s Interior.

As helicopters dropped water on the fire near Ashcroft and Cache Creek, flames from another fire burned right up to the edge of homes in Williams Lake.

As of Tuesday, the Shetland Creek wildfire had destroyed more than 20 structures. Highway 1 remained closed between Ashcroft and Spences Bridge.
