BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – An upper-level low and a surface low have now become vertically stacked and are sitting over southern Canada. The lows will continue to spin in clouds, showers & even a few thunderstorms for locations mostly north & west of the Interstate through early evening. Most of the activity will begin to die out shortly after sunset. The rest of the night will have decreasing clouds with areas of locally dense fog. Lows will range from the low to mid 50s.

High pressure will start to build into the region on Friday and will stick around into the weekend. There will still be some clouds and fog Friday morning, but these should clear out quickly leaving mostly sunny skies. Afternoon highs will stay mostly in the 70s.

A completely dry weekend is on the way, for the first time this August. Expect mostly sunny to sunny skies …
