(KKTV) – On Monday, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) shared a video of a Russian Military Aircraft in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) from earlier this month showcasing a close call.

The incident was captured on camera on Sept. 23.

“The Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter American or Canadian sovereign airspace. This Russian activity in the Alaska ADIZ occurs regularly and is not seen as a threat,” a news release from NORAD reads. “An ADIZ begins where sovereign airspace ends and is a defined stretch of international airspace that requires the ready identification of all aircraft in the interest of national security.”

NORAD included a caption on social media about the incident caught on camera that you can watch at the top of this article.

“The conduct of one Russian Su-35 was unsafe, unprofessional, and endangered all – not what you’d see in a professional air force,” a statement from Gen. Gregory Guillot reads.
