SPOKANE, Wash. – The City of Spokane will celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Oct. 14.

As is the case with all municipally observed holidays, parking will be free across the city. Solid waste services will not be impacted, and City Council will still hold a brief meeting that day.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated in October every year and celebrates the critical importance of First Peoples across the US. More information on the holiday can be found on the Smithsonian’s website.
