Blue Angels cancel long-awaited Saturday SF Fleet Week show [Video]

(KRON) — The Blue Angels canceled their long-awaited SF Fleet Week show on Saturday due to the fog, event organizers announced over X. Weather conditions deem it “not safe to fly.”

“They’ll be back tomorrow. If you missed the action today, get ready for a great show tomorrow!” Fleet Week officials said.

The Blue Angels were set to start their show at 3 p.m. SF Fleet Week announced the cancellation at about 3:40 p.m.

In 2022, Blue Angels canceled their Oct. 9 show for the same reasons. The same thing happened in 2011. Here’s what Fleet Week Spokesperson Jim Havey said about prior cancellations in San Francisco in 2022:

“Very rare. Cancellation has only happened once in the over 20 years the Air Show Network has produced Fleet Week Air Show,” Havey said.
