A driver was charged with travelling along this stretch of road in Guelph at more than double the posted speed limit.

A 62-year-old woman has been charged with stunt driving after police stopped a vehicle that was travelling at 103 km/h in a 40 km/h zone in Guelph on Wednesday afternoon.

Guelph Police said the car was clocked speeding at more than two-and-a-half times the posted limit just before 3 p.m. on Woolwich Street, near Marilyn Drive.

A Guelph woman, 62, faces speeding and stunt driving charges. Police said her driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and her vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

A stunt driving conviction carries a minimum licence suspension of one year, at least a $2,000 fine and six demerit points, police noted.
