Jamie Lee Curtis is set to captivate audiences with her new series based on The Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist following the release of a new trailer for the show.

The Hollywood icon not only executive produces the six-part drama but also stars in it, alongside the award-winning Margo Martindale, celebrated for her performances in The Americans, The Good Wife, and Justified.

Titled The Sticky, the show dramatises the notorious 2012 heist that saw a staggering $18 million worth of maple syrup pilfered from Quebec’s national reserves, an event that caught the world’s attention.

With its blend of dark humour, violence, and sheer absurdity set against the backdrop of a snowy North American small town, comparisons with the cult classic Fargo and its subsequent television adaptation are inevitable.

While Fargo unfolds in the rural climes of Minnesota, The Sticky takes viewers across the border to Saint-Louis-de-Blandford, Quebec, reports the Daily Record.
