MCINTOSH COUNTY, Okla. — The Muscogee (Creek) Nation voiced concerns over a Canadian company trying to build a wind farm in McIntosh County.

The plan is to set up 100 wind turbines over 600 feet tall in their community.

Since the Muscogee (Creek) Nation covers McIntosh County, they felt the people who live on the reservation should have been contacted since it will affect their land too.

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation held the meeting to talk about the Canadian River Wind Project that could bring more than 100 wind turbines to the country.

Principal Chief David Hill said he learned about the project along with other people living in McIntosh County.
