Maritimers will stop Monday to remember those who have served, and continue to serve, in Canada’s armed forces for Remembrance Day.

CTV News will be live-streaming the service from Halifax’s Grand Parade at 11 a.m. local time.

Closures

All schools and many businesses are closed across the region. A full list can be found here.

Weather

Mostly above seasonal temperatures are in the forecast, but it is expected to be a dreary day.

Most areas saw showers in the morning, which are expected to last late into the afternoon, with snow showers possible in northern New Brunswick.

Southerly winds gusting up to 50 km/h are also in the forecast.

Ceremonies

Several Remembrance Day ceremonies took place across all three Maritime provinces.

The ceremony at Eastern Passage Legion had been moved indoors due to the rain in the forecast.
