BUFFALO, N.Y. — Western New Yorkers across the region have been honoring the men and women who served our country as Veterans Day approaches Monday.
However, Forest Lawn Cemetery and the Western New York American Legion decided to honor Canadian and British soldiers and airmen who are buried here in Buffalo.
The graves of 14 veterans from Canada and one who is British are now decorated with their nation’s flag. Members of several Canadian Legion branches helped with the ceremony.
