Cody Ramos was charged with murder after medics found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to the head near the front door of his home.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — CCPD has released new details on what lead to the arrest of Cody Ramos after a fatal shooting early Sunday morning on Moultrie Drive.
Officers were dispatched to the St. Andrews Park area neighborhood shortly around 2 a.m. after receiving a call saying the reporting party was being robbed and had shot a man.
Police say they soon learned the caller was friends with the man, who is identified in an arrest narrative report as ‘Albert.’
When they arrived, investigators found the victim near the front door with an apparent bullet wound to his head.
In the report, an investigator said Ramos had been ‘removed from the residence via the front window’ before being detained in a nearby police unit.
