Nov. 13 (UPI) — A Canadian man bench-pressed his body weight and unofficially broke a Guinness World Record with 38 repetitions in 30 seconds.

Khashayar Farzam, who previously broke the Guinness World Record for bench pressing the most weight in 30 seconds, attempted to break a second record at Lil’s Gym in Kitchener.

“I weighed in at 201.8 lbs and the mark to beat was 38 reps. I did 44 reps today,” Farzam told CTV News.

Evidence from his attempt is now being submitted to Guinness World Records to see if he has officially broken a second record.
