You may know it as Sounds of the Season, but this year, we’re joining 26 other CBC stations nationwide under a new name: Make the Season Kind. It’s is our annual holiday fundraiser in support of the London Food Bank. Our goal is to raise money, donations and awareness for those facing food insecurity in London.

According to Feed Ontario, over 1 million people visited a food bank between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024, an increase of 25 per cent over 2022-2023. Food banks were visited 7.6 million times between that time period, an increase of 31 per cent over 2022-2023, and 134 per cent over 2019-2020. It’s the eighth consecutive year food bank use has risen in the province.
