Snow is still at least more than a week away as warmer-than-usual weather is expected to stick around through the weekend in Mississauga, Brampton and much of southern Ontario.

The U.S. Climate Prediction Center is calling for possible heavy snow across much of the Great Lakes region at the end of next week but temperatures will stay above seasonal levels again on Friday, according to Environment Canada.

There’s a 30 per cent chance of drizzle heading into Thursday night, but the agency says Friday will see a forecasted daytime high of 11 C in Toronto, dipping to 10 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton.

Environment Canada says to expect cloudy skies on Friday and winds of around 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h in some areas and an overnight low of around 2 C.

Saturday will see sunnier skies and a daytime high of 11 C.
