Dawson Creek man arrested after alleged stabbing Sunday morning [Video]

DAWSON CREEK –A Dawson Creek man is facing charges after police allege one person was stabbed in the early morning hours on Sunday.

Mounties were called to the scene around 6am just off of Alaska Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered one person had been stabbed.

Police say it happened after a suspect broke into a trailer and allegedly began assaulting a woman. A man who was in the trailer at the time, came to the woman’s defence and was then allegedly stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital however the extent of his injuries are unknown. Investigators tell CJDC TV News that the victim is expected to make a full recovery.

Dawson Creek police are recommeding charges against Brad Supernant for Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon. Supernant remains in custody pending his next court appearance on Friday.
