HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (Gray News) – Canadian authorities have ruled the death of a Walmart worker who was found inside a store’s walk-in oven as “not suspicious.”

According to an update Monday from Halifax Regional Police, investigators found no evidence of foul play in the Oct. 19 death of the 19-year-old Walmart employee.

The family identified the worker as Gursimran Kaur on a GoFundMe page, writing that she “was found burned to death in the walk-in oven.”

Police initially described the investigation as “complex.” Although they have now ruled out foul play, police still have not confirmed a cause and manner of death.
