Two Mississauga men and a man from Brampton face theft charges in connection with a string of shoplifting incidents in a pair of southwestern Ontario towns.
The three men were arrested on Wednesday shortly after being spotted by staff at a retail store in Goderich, located on the eastern shore of Lake Huron, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Friday.
Police said store staff recognized the men as allegedly having been at the same store previously. Two men were arrested a short time later while a third suspect was located by police after a brief search.
Police began their investigation on Nov. 12 into thefts at retail stores in both Goderich and Exeter, about 50 kilometres southeast of the former.
“Three individuals were captured on video surveillance after departing the stores with stolen goods,” police said.
