It seems like wintry weather is finally making its way to Ontario.
Residents are being advised of a late fall storm that will roll in early this week, bringing snow and freezing rain to much of the province.
In a recent social media post, Environment Canada’s predictions say the storm will hit the region starting Monday (Nov. 25) and continue into Tuesday.
Weather models from the European, Canadian and American systems show varying projections.
The European model (top-left image) predicts significant snow and freezing rain affecting regions in the Greater Toronto Area which includes Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Halton and Durham as well as Sudbury.
The Canadian model (bottom-left image) suggests heavier snow accumulation in areas such as Ottawa, Kingston and Barrie.
The American model (top-right image) points to lighter snowfall in western regions but still warns of freezing rain, particularly in London, Kitchener and Windsor.
