WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Sunday will be a big travel day, and the weather won’t be too bad. Snow showers are possible through the first part of the day in parts of the region, while lake effect snow will get underway in the far north, including Vilas County, starting midday and continuing right through Monday evening. Breezy and cool to start the work week. The next snow maker will be an Alberta Clipper that brings snow showers to parts of the region Tuesday night into Wednesday, also ushering in a blast of colder air for the second half of the week. A First Alert that messy travel is possible in the region on Wednesday due to the snow showers and the low wind chills in the single digits on either side of zero on Thursday.
