FIRST ALERT OVERNIGHT – MONDAY: Wintry mix, rain and snow moved into northeastern North Dakota around 3-4 AM Sunday morning, and by Sunday afternoon, enough wintry precipitation had fallen in northeastern ND and northern MN that slick roads and difficult travel occurred, leading to Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings that stuck around in Lakes Country until midnight. Meanwhile, the southern half of our region saw rain showers and dreary conditions.

Overnight, most of the snow will lift back into Canada, but snow showers will still linger at the International Border, leading to more snow accumulations and slick roads in northeast ND and northern MN. Meanwhile, the southern half of our region will see cloud skies and some patchy fog but stay precipitation-free for a few hours. Around 2 AM Monday morning, however, wrap-around moisture from Canada moves back into eastern ND, crossing over the James River and southern Red River Valleys around 5 …
