A fog advisory has been issued for Waterloo Region and southern Wellington County, with Environment Canada warning of the potential for “near-zero visibility.”

The advisory, which came into effect early Tuesday morning, is expected to remain in place until late morning as dense fog blankets the region.

“If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop,” the advisory says.
