The suspect arrested last week for allegedly sucker-punching a stranger in downtown Vancouver has been charged in a total of three separate stranger assaults, police announced Tuesday.
Zachary Tyrell Shettell has been charged with three counts of assault, according to a statement from the Vancouver Police Department.
Online court records indicate the 29-year-old has also been charged with theft under $5,000.
Police allege Shettell is the man seen punching a stranger in the face outside the Hudson’s Bay store on West Georgia Street in a video the VPD released last week.
The incident seen in the video occurred on Nov. 28. Police made the video public on Dec. 3. That same day, a VPD officer patrolling in the downtown area arrested Shettell near Library Square.
