WILLIAMSBURG, Iowa (KCRG) – “Rambunctious,” and “spitfire.”

Just two of the words Iowa senior returner Kaden Wetjen’s parents used to describe him.

The Williamsburg native was full speed, and loved the game of football.

“He would sit at home with a football and wait for us to get home from work to play,” said Kaden’s father, Lee.

Lee played for Williamsburg and helped coach the Raiders, giving his son a chance to learn.

“He has been at football practice ever since he was little,” Lee said. “I suppose when you’re there every day, you see the culture, what it means to the kids, and he’s always had it.”

“Some kids have the ‘it’ factor. He always had it.”

After staring at Williamsburg, Kaden had no offers coming out of high school.

He proved himself at Iowa Western Community College, and then walking on at Iowa.

It’s always been his dream to play in the NFL.
