Teams from Canada, the United States, China and Czechia are vying for prestige at the 2024 Para Hockey Cup in Charlottetown, P.E.I., this weekend.

The event is hosted at the Bell Aliant Centre and features a broad selection of dedicated athletes.

“The amount of work that these guys have to do to play for their country is unreal,” said Paul Rosen, a former Para Hockey Team Canada player. “The bonus is you get to put your country’s sweater on. To play for your country is the greatest thrill in the world.”

The United States is looking to win the cup for the ninth year in a row. Team Canada hasn’t won the cup since 2013.

The bronze medal game will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday and the gold medal matchup will happen at 7 p.m.
