The second suspect wanted by Saskatchewan RCMP in connection to a suspicious death on White Bear First Nation has been arrested.
Carlyle RCMP received a report of an injured person at a residence on White Bear First Nation in the early hours of Dec. 3. When officers arrived, they found a man’s body, who was identified as a 33-year-old from Coronach.
The man’s death was considered suspicious, so the Saskatchewan Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation. Two men were identified and charged with the death, and warrants for their arrest were issued.
On Dec. 7, one of the suspects, who was wanted for one count of second-degree murder, was arrested.
On Dec. 12, the Regina Police Service found and arrested Dwayne Maxie who was wanted for one count of manslaughter.
He is scheduled to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday morning.
