An 89-year-old Saskatchewan man missing since Dec. 11 has been found dead.

On Sunday, the Kindersley RCMP asked the public to be on the lookout for Frank Deitz, a Kerrobert man who had not been seen since Wednesday.

The RCMP said he may have been travelling in a light brown 1997 F150, and police began searching places he was known to visit, including the Battlefords, Kindersley, Luseland and Macklin.

In a news release on Monday afternoon, the Saskatchewan RCMP confirmed Deitz had been found dead.

“His family has been notified and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.”

The RCMP said they don’t believe his death is suspicious in nature.
