Loaded gun seized in Lakeshore investigation [Video]

The Essex OPP Lakeshore Detachment has arrested two people following an incident that took place on Saturday night.

Around 8 p.m., officers responded to a report of two people who allegedly had a firearm near Industrial Drive in Comber.

Police responded and launched an investigation, which led to a loaded gun being found.

A 25-year-old and 26-year-old, both of Whitby, are facing multiple charges. Those include possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, careless storage of a firearm, failure to comply with undertaking and more.

Both accused were held in custody, awaiting a bail hearing.
