WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW)—A cold front arrives tonight. Snow showers will be scattered, but snow will remain under an inch area-wide. The only communities that have the potential to pick up more than an inch are those in the Northwoods off of Lake Superior and close to the Michigan/Wisconsin state line.
Thursday remains our best snow chance for the rest of this week. An Alberta Clipper will sweep the state. The highest snowfall totals are trending southwest by the Wisconsin/Minnesota border. The Twin Cities, Eau Claire, and western Wisconsin, west of Hwy 13, would have the best chance of the highest snowfall totals. A First Alert Weather Day begins at noon on Thursday and will continue until Thursday at midnight.
