Cold winds are on the way as the temperature will drop towards -25 C by the weekend in some parts of the province and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada is calling for mostly cloudy conditions on Thursday ahead of a cold front that will send temperature plummeting in Mississauga, Toronto, Hamilton and across most of the southern Ontario region,

In Mississauga, the daytime high is expected to be around -1 C with a wind chill that will make it feel more like -9 C in the morning, up to -3 C in the afternoon. Hamilton will be a bit warmer with a windchill of around -7 C in the early part of the day, the agency says.

There are no snowfall or snow squall warnings like we saw earlier in the month, but Environment Canada says to expect a 30 per cent chance of flurries across the GTA.
