Winnipeg police: man dead after being hit by car [Video]

An 84-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a car on Wednesday in Winnipeg.

The pedestrian-vehicle crash took place in the area of Byrd Avenue and Westwood Drive just before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to police, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service went to the scene and found an 84-year-old man with serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital in unstable condition, where he later died from his injuries.

The 86-year-old man who was driving the car involved in the crash stayed at the scene.

The Winnipeg police’s traffic division is now investigating. No charges have been laid.
