FORT ST. JOHN –With the holiday travel season kicking into high gear, the North Peace Regional Airport is providing tips to help travellers be prepared.

The airport, located at 9919 Terminal Road in Fort St. John, is anticipating 50 per cent more than the normal passenger volumes seen on a daily basis.

“We could see — definitely — an increase up to three or 400 or more,“ said the airport’s Managing Director Stacy Smith. 

However, they do not expect any major delays in processing departing passengers as extra customer service agents and screening officers will be on hand to ensure smooth operations.

“CATSA, for the screening, are very good at putting through a lot of people, said Smith, who is anticipating the next few days to be some of the airport’s busiest.
