Impaired driver strikes business in Brandon, MB [Video]

A man in Brandon, Man., was arrested Friday afternoon after police said he hit a business while driving impaired.

According to police, officers were called to the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue just before 4 p.m.

No one was injured in the incident but the building sustained significant damage.

When officers arrived, they said the 46-year-old driver showed signs of being impaired by a drug. They arrested him and he provided a blood sample for future analysis.

He was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired. The charge hasn’t been tested in court.

He was released and is expected to appear in court in the new year.
