A 69-year-old woman from the Humboldt area is dead after her SUV collided with a truck on Highway 5, according to police.

On Dec. 20, at around 11:30 a.m., officers from the Saskatoon RCMP detachment responded to a crash east of St. Denis where a westbound SUV and an eastbound truck collided.

According to an update from RCMP published Sunday morning, the 69-year-old woman, who was the lone occupant of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and lone passenger of the truck, a 45-year-old male from the Saskatoon area, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Saskatoon RCMP and the service’s collision reconstruction unit continue to investigate the crash.

St. Denis is located approximately 40 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
