Toronto’s most famous Christmas street, Kringlewood, returns for the holidays and this year it is inspiring copycat streets in the USA.

What started as a humble holiday project more than a decade ago, Toronto’s renowned “Kringlewood” — where giant inflatable Santas loom over Inglewood Drive every year to bring Christmas cheer — has now offered the gift of inspiration to other communities.

Similar displays have blown up in recent years across Canada — including HalifaxSudbury, Oakville and Woodstock — but this year, Kringlewood’s spirit also found its way into the hearts of residents south of the border in Illinois and Utah, who have transformed their own local streets into a wonderland of oversized Jolly Old Saint Nicks.
